The Wool Lover is a visual, literary and cultural study devoted to the wonder fibre wool.

A passionately curated monograph - spanning historical and contemporary, rural and urban, the personal and universal. The Wool Lover casts a curious gaze across geographies, cultures and histories exploring our kinship with wool.

Based in Aotearoa New Zealand The Wool Lover is interested in crafting stories investigating what place wool has, or might have in a changing world. New environmental and the call for sustainability, surely favour wool in craft, fashion and industry.

Such is our belief in wool we have made a space where a diverse range of people and stories are connected through a shared passion for wool. We publish stories that speak of people, place, landscape and a fibre; and celebrate the diversity and connectivity of wool lovers worldwide.

Wool reminds us of who we are, who we are not, and who we can be.
